Gender Socialization

Gender socialization refers to the handle individuals, primarily in archean childhood, are taught what is expected of them in terms of their gender. For example, girls are taught to be domesticated, while boys are taught to be active. This was first taught to individuals by their family, as parents would show their children the right course of instruction to go. Children would further learn more than about their gender roles by their peers and, most importantly, the media. The medias portrayal of what to each one genders identity should be heavily influences how we think of ourselves; if any soulfulness feels that if they arent acting feminine or masculine enough that something is impairment with them.\nMedia has the strongest influences over our ideals of beauty. This particularly is targeted potently towards women. Women are portrayed to be skinny, comely, fair in complexion, feel for and domesticated. While in man the women shown in the media are on average generally significantly taller and slimmer than actual females. The medias ideals of what a beautiful woman should be causes measureless of females to undergo extreme fast and surgeries in order to contain into what the media deems appropriate.
